Core: Lead Your Life Now! Teleclass (Prerequisite for Action Leadership Classes)

The Core Course consists of 10 one-hour telecourses which will be held on a weekly basis. The workshop which will cover: exercises to determine current level of satisfaction in the personal and professional arenas, core guiding values, major goals, alignment of values and goals, and an action plan with a sustainability component. Leading with intention will also be discussed as well as the importance of an accountability plan to monitor the action plan for sustained change. At the end of the course you will understand your personal leadership capabilities and have a plan to become your biggest, best, possible self!

Readings and assessments will be assigned weekly to help you gain a higher level of self awareness regarding your own personal leadership.

Facilitators are all ICF-trained coaches who will use coaching methods when working with participants.

Relationship Dynamics:

Couples – If you are involved in a relationship, this is a don’t miss teleclass!!! Any relationship can easily become derailed if the partners are not aware of potential saboteurs and how to manage them! This 6-week teleclass consists of discussing the basic saboteurs of our relationships, the impact of one small change, how to speak from a place of “I” instead of “you” and how to dramatically improve communication using coaching techniques.

Mother-teen daughters – Oh, the complexities of the dynamics of these relationships! Our approach is to focus on communication skills and understanding the position of the other. We will initially have the teen girls in one group and the moms in another group and then all come together. Communication action plans will be developed as well as a plan for sustainability of the changes.

Divorced – It is so easy to lose oneself in this situation. We will focus on the learnings you want to take with you into your next relationship and the ghosts you want to leave behind!

Near-divorced–Our goals for this telecasts are similar to the divorced group, however, we will focus on not losing your self as you are going through the process. We will champion you and help you maintain perspective while navigating these waters.

Personal Finance:

Who doesn't need to do some work in this area? Our personal finance coach is a former V.P. of Fifth Third Bank and co-author of How to Lose Weight and Gain Money. He helps us to understand our spending and saving patterns based on our life stories about money. He then has very easy to understand programs that help us to gain control of our financial lives. Each step is explained fully and participants do not need to share specific numbers with the group. By the end of the course, you will develop your action plan for financial health!

Life Work Balance:

If you discovered in the core class that this area really needs some extra attention, this six-week teleclass will help you refine your action plan in this area. Very specific and tangible ideas will be shared as well as more in-depth concepts around this balance.

Career Transition:

Whether you are currently in transition or thinking about it, this 6-week teleclass will give you the tools you need to understand yourself as well as your potential career. By the end of class, you will have developed a very specific action plan for the transition.

Positive Powerful Parenting:

Need Super Nanny? This class will provide discussions with real case examples of the best practices of positive powerful parenting!

Parenting ADD/ADHD children:

The complexities of this diagnosis are daunting and the potential for misdiagnosis is also present! We will discuss symptoms, best practices from several areas (holistic, pharmacological …) and a behavioral action plan.

Healthy Body, Healthy Weight:

Do you want to gain control of your body? Whether you are overweight, battling a disease that impacts weight, and/or want to improve your level of physical endurance, this class will be helpful to you! We will ask you prior to class to choose one exercise and begin doing it for at least one week prior to class. We will also ask you to begin to examine your eating practices by spending at least one week journaling your food intake. Then we will discuss healthy eating life plans and healthy exercise plans. Goals will be set and an action plan with an accountability component for sustainability will also be devised by each participant.
