The Inspiration for the Personal Leadership Institute
You have heard the adage that we teach what we need to learn. Not too many years ago, I was playing small in a toxic personal relationship, staying in a dead end low-paying job, frustrated, stressed, and lacking both personal and positional power. I was beating my head against the proverbial brick wall.
I started to develop some of the exercises that are now the foundation for our Core Course, Lead Your Life Now! As I completed the Assessment and Professional Assessments (and you can too - see the links on our home page), I realized that my life was completely out of balance. Furthermore, when I completed the core values exercise, I discovered that I was not spending personal nor professional time on things that were in line with my core values. In short, I was not walking the talk.
About a year later, I launched The Personal Leadership Institute. Why? I wanted people to come to one place that had all the valuable exercises, programs, and information that I took years to find. And, I wanted the information to be accessible and effective.
It is my hope that by working with us you will:
-
Figure out the answer to the question - I was born at this time and place in history to....
-
Live an aligned life with intention
-
Have an action plan with very specific and tangible goals, and
-
Have an accountability structure in place for sustained learning and action,
-
GIVE BACK!!
